Sara Colman started out with a classical music education which included forays with the double bass, violin, flute and her now favoured instrument the piano.
She learnt her trade as a jazz singer and spent ten years singing with The Passion, a harmony vocal and piano trio.
Sara was a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 ‘Sold on Song’ song writing competition and was a recipient of one of the inaugural Birmingham Jazz Awards.
Sara and her quartet supported Madeleine Peyroux at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham and in 2010 she will be touring with jazz accordionist Karen Street.
