Food & Drink

Photo Credit: Aaron WalkerFood & drink can be as important as the line-up at any festival. Therefore, we always bring international gourmet flavours straight to Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul! Here are just a few highlights from 2017’s food caterers and bars…

Firstly, Purity Brewery Company again provided the festival with award winning ale and imported lagers! This was available at our main bar. With plenty of different service points, everyone was served with minimal queue times.

As usual there was one well stocked bar with ale available in 4 pint plastic containers to cut down on trips to the bar. To keep our plastic waste to a minimum we use plastic pint glasses. We ask you to buy one for £1 and to reuse it throughout the weekend. We’ve seen this work well at other festivals and we think it’s a practical solution to litter. Alternatively, if you fancy a cocktail you won’t go thirsty either!

Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul 2017 had some of the best food we have ever had! From freshly made jerk chicken courtesy of our Caribbean caterer, to Vietnamese baguettes and Persian wraps, as well as the usual gourmet hot dogs and burgers. There was something for everyone – including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options!

In addition to our savoury offerings, we can’t forget about the tasty sweet treats that were also on offer. These included waffles with an array of toppings and homemade ice cream from the Shephers ice cream van. We are already busy researching and booking our caterers for 2018 to ensure we get the highest quality for you yet again. Details of exactly what will be on offer will be released at a later date, so watch this space.

Please note that we politely ask you not to bring any glass or alcohol into the festival. This is due to health & safety and licensing reasons. We have to be strict about this so please don’t be offended if our stewards ask to check your bag. With so many food & drink options available on site, you shouldn’t need to bring anything with you anyway!
