Daytoner are live at Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival 2019 in Moseley Park, Birmingham on Saturday 13th July!

As a DJ & producer, Daytoner has supplied global funk, soul, ska and swing dance floors since 2009 with over 30 releases, remixes and edits on various quality European labels such as Jalapeno, Legere, Pedigree Cuts, Wass and Wack etc. There’s also been regular radio support from Craig Charles on BBC 6 Music & Radio 2 along with a BBC Introducing shortlisting, BBC Radio One plays and 1 million Soundcloud plays.

Following this studio support, a number of musician friends suggested taking this sunshine sound to a wider audience, and before a 6 (occasionally 7) piece band was formed intent on filling the dancefloor and blurring the boundaries between DJ set & live performance with a lineup consisting of Moss Daytoner on Decks & FX, Rich Hume on Flute & Tenor Sax, Frosty on Drums, Lucy Richards on Vocals, King Jamie on Keys, Andy Worthy on Baritone Sax and Paddy on Bass.

In 2016 the Summer started with a DJ set for The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club in the Shangri-La Hell arena to a huge crowd, before the band embarked on a festival tour with live performances in a number of the UK’s finest fields including Secret Garden Party, Kendal Calling, Leopallooza, Wilderness, Boomtown Fair, Boardmasters and Bestival.

In 2017 Daytoner supported Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club night at 3 venues (Plymouth University, Falmouth Week and Chepstow Castle) and their festival tour covered Shindig & NASS (Somerset), Lovebox (London), Spraoi (Waterford, Ireland) & Boardmasters (Cornwall). They’re also headlining the BBC Stage at Looe Music Festival, and Daytoner had the honour of performing at the grand opening of the new Blue Whale exhibit in Hintze Hall of the Natural History Museum (London)!
