Steve Cobby (Fila Brazillia) – Interview + DJ Set

Steve Cobby co-founded Fila Brazillia with David McSherry in 1990. 

They released 10 critically acclaimed LP’s of original material as well as producing over seventy remixes for artists as diverse as Radiohead, Busta Rhymes, Black Uhuru, Simple Minds, James, A Certain Ratio and Moloko. 

After a 14 year hiatus they released MMXX in March 2020. 

With David Brennand he established iconic label Pork Recordings in 1990. An imprint that went on to become internationally acclaimed for it’s quality and integrity.

His first paid DJ set was at The Sugar Shack in 1985. He has since gone on to play all four corners from Sydney to San Francisco, New York to Tokyo as well as performing live in Europe, Japan and the US with Fila. 

He now records and releases on his solo imprint Déclassé records.
