We’re pleased to see restrictions on outdoor events finally being lifted as of Monday, and some normality returning to our city. However, COVID hasn’t vanished overnight, and whilst the event will be at full scale, it’s important that we still exercise caution in order to keep everyone safe and reduce the risk of infection. Therefore we ask that everyone respects and adheres to our new policy.

Lateral Flow Tests – Negative Result Prior To Entry

You must take a Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours of arriving at Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul and be able to show your text or email confirmation of a negative result. If you arrive at the gate without proof, you will be asked to leave and come back with a negative test result.

Lateral Flow Tests are free and readily available. Information about where to get your free Lateral Flow Test is available here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

Once you have a negative test result you can report result here: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result

Your official test results will be sent via text or email, this is what you need to show us at the entrance to the festival.

Please note, YOU DO NOT NEED THE NHS APP, instead please use the link above.

Lateral Flow Tests are suitable for children 11 and over. Children under 11 do not need to show a negative test result.

Public Health England are soon to introduce the NHS COVID Pass which will also be accepted at Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul.

From August 16th (the Monday before the Festival) the rules are changing for those who are fully vaccinated. They will no longer need to self isolate if they come into close contact with someone who has tested positive, instead they will be asked to take a PCR test as soon as possible.

We believe in being respectful to each other, and therefore we are encouraging the use of face masks while queuing inside the event; at the box office, the bar, food stalls etc as well as when entering and exiting the festival.

No Re-entry

The logisitcs of checking test results on entry means we cannot allow our audience to leave and then re-enter. Like most other festivals ‘Once you’re in, youre in!’

We appreciate this is a change, but we’re letting you know now so that you can make all the necessary arrangements and bring everything you need with you when you first arrive. We have arranged extra food and drink stalls, so there will be enough for everyone.

A Cashless Festival

Following Covid guidelines we have made this year’s event cashless. The bars, caterers and the shop will all accept card payments only.
