Birmingham is well and truly a hub of activities, with plenty of things to do in Birmingham, cafes in Moseley or Bars and Pubs in Kings Heath to explore.

Here are a few of the Mostly Jazz team’s favourite things to do before and after the festival, to make the most of our beautiful city. Check out our top 5 things to do in Birmingham below:

  1. Pre-festival head to some of Moseley and Kings Heath’s best Cafe’s for a spot of Breakfast

    There are plenty of places to head to in Moseley and Kings Heath for your morning coffee, including Maison Mayci or The Early Bird Bakery for their pastries, Kitchen Garden Cafe for a cosy Brunch, Cafephilia for a quick coffee, Java Roastery for that extra caffeine boost or if you fancy a little bit of a walk, Stirchley’s incredible brunch spot caneat is a winner.

     

  2. Take a morning stroll around some of Moseley’s other beautiful parks

    There are plenty of parks close by, whether you’re after a quick walk around Moseley Bog woodland, a lengthy one around Highbury Park or even take a walk around the stunning lake at Cannon Hill Park.

     

  3. Post-festival head to some of the best pubs in Moseley and Kings Heath, with some continuing the festival party

    There is so much to do post-Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festival, with our official after-party at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath. Or if you’re after a bit of a pub crawl, with the best pubs within walking distance you can either start at The Village Moseley, One Trick Pony, Patrick Kavanagh, The Fighting Cocks or even The Dark Horse.
