Alexander Polack is a Birmingham born jazz trumpeter. He developed an interest in jazz through multiple opportunities in his home city including Birmingham Music Service, MYJO, The Notebenders Big Band, Jazzlines and the junior jazz department at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire studying with Mike Williams and Percy Pursglove. He is currently in his final year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire with the financial help of the Fela Anikulapo-Kuti Scholarship. Alexander is inspired by the music of Clifford Brown, Roy Hargrove, Miles Davis, and the string arrangements of Kenny Wheeler and Clare Fischer who bring the classical and jazz world together in a creative way.
