12th – 14th July 2024. Moseley Park, Birmingham.

is a Birmingham-based music charity, responsible for Symphony Hall and Town Hall and with a unique mission to inspire a love of live music through performance, participation and learning. B:Music believes that music is essential to everyone and has the power to transform and change lives, to entertain and uplift, to create shared experiences and to educate.

B:Music’s stage at Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul festival has been a highlight of the talent development programme for over a decade. Brand-new bands have been introduced to new audiences and Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul has provided an incredible first festival experience for the young musicians in B:and Together the B:Music Jazz and Gospel Ensembles.

A festival date at Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul is a dream for new bands. Many of the Birmingham musicians presented through the last 10 years have now become well-known touring and recording artists including Xhosa Cole, Young Pilgrims and Reuben James. Once again B:Music will be curating a lineup alongside the Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul team to bring rising stars to the festival.

The line up includes; Headliner’s Ezra Collective, Kokorko, Boca 45Young Gun Silver Fox, Lara Jones, Gabriella Liandu, Lucas D & The Ghetto Grove and B:and Together.

B:Music continues to bring the best of jazz to the city with free gigs every Friday at 5pm on the Jennifer Blackwell stage at Symphony Hall, as well as world-class performers on our iconic stages at Symphony Hall and Town Hall. B:and Together, the B:Music Jazz and Gospel free ensembles and week-long summer school for 11-19-year-olds ensures new talent is always being supported and developed. 2023 sees B:Music’s third B:JazzFest in August, where international touring artists share the lineup with community bands.
